Resources

The reach of He Who Laughs extends far beyond the boundaries of Ohio and Union County.  Suicide, mental wellness, and grief know no limits and impacts all of us.  Our goal with this resource page is to break down resources per area of interest, then within each area provide links that are local, as well as, national links to best provide support.  Most often within each local resource there are links that will let you search for similar support options based on zip code.

If you or someone you know is having thoughts of harm or are in a mental health crisis call 988 for support. 988 is the National Suicide Lifeline and is available 24/7. Additional support is also available by texting CONNECT to 741741. This will put you into contact with the National Crisis Text Line. If you are in need of immediate medical assistance, dial 911 or find your closest emergency room for support.

For individuals who are not in a mental health crisis, consider reaching out to your local mental health and recovery boards, veterans service office, dial 211 or visit https://www.211.org/about-us/your-local-211 in Ohio to be put in contact with local resources that can help support your specific inquiry.

If you have a particular resource that is not listed and you found helpful, He Who Laughs would love to hear from you.  Please consider sharing resources that were helpful because you never know when someone else may need a similar support. Resource sharing may be emailed to admin@hewholaughs.org.  The goal is to share these resources as they are provided with the He Who Laughs public Facebook group to continually help connect and support others on our journey of walking each other home.
